Meghan Markle must garner public adoration in order to avoid her Hollywood agency from parting ways with her, a royal expert suggested.
According to Daily Express, royal author Angela Levin made remarks on the Duchess of Sussex, saying she "needs to be adored by the public" to maintain her current lifestyle.
She put forward her thoughts, noting that the Suits alum could be dropped by her Hollywood talent firm due to the ongoing circumstances stirred by Omid Scobie’s book Endgame.
For the unversed, Scobie, 43, released a 400-page book last week and as per several publications the Dutch version named two "racist royals" who raised "concerns" over the skin tone of Meghan, 42, and Prince Harry’s four-year-old son, Prince Archie before he was born.
Levin appeared on GB News on Wednesday, December 6, where she shared that Meghan’s agency is "horrified" after the fallout of the book.
She cited concerns raised by the agency, saying, "That can't be just about the two names that have been mentioned but it must also be about their client."
Levin went on to say, "I've never heard any really well-known agency be so clear about what they felt so I think Meghan needs to be very careful because a lot of people have dropped her."
The author, who also wrote books on Prince Harry and Queen Camilla, said of the former actress that "It's going to be very difficult for her to get the kind of glamor she wants and things that make them a lot of money."
Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, the Sussexes settled down in luxury neighborhood of Montecito, California.
The pair ended up signing lucrative deals with several media platforms, including Netflix and Spotify. However, they were dealt with a huge blow earlier this year, when Spotify decided to terminate their $20 million deal.
As of right now, the royals are reportedly scrambling to ease out their financial issues due to no business deals on the horizon.
As Levin noted, "The money is useful for [Meghan] and Harry not just because they can spend it and have lots of nice jewelry and all their bedrooms and bathrooms, but I actually think she's somebody who needs to be adored all the time by the public."
