There was Blank Space in the stands as Taylor Swift couldn’t fly back to the US to mark her attendance at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs vs Eagles game.
After rescheduling her concert in Rio de Janeiro, the Gorgeous hitmaker did not make it to the Kansas City Chiefs take on Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, November 20.
Though she was far, the distance didn’t stop her from cheering on her two time Super Bowl champion from overseas.
Swift, 33, initially planned to fly out from Brazil amid a break from her jammed pack Eras Tour to grace the Chiefs game with her presence.
However, she was forced to reschedule one of her Rio de Janeiro gigs from Saturday, November 18 to Monday, November 20 due to searing temperatures in the city.
The pop queen shared the reason for postponing her show via her Instagram Story.
“I’m writing this from my dressing room in the stadium. The decision has been made to postpone tonight’s show due to extreme temperatures in Rio," her post from Saturday, Nov. 18, read.
She added, “The safety and well being of my fans, fellow performers and crew has to and always will come first.”
A day earlier, at the concert of the Bad Blood crooner, a fan named Ana Clara Benevides Machado suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and succumbed to death at the young age of 23.
Taylor addressed Ana’s death and shared that she is “overwhelmed by grief.”
The hitmaker stepped on the stage to give a musical treat to swifties in her rescheduled concert amid more suitable temperatures.
Meanwhile, Travis, 34, faced off against his brother Jason Kelce at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri the same day.
