Matthew Perry’s sudden and tragic death left everyone in shock and his untimely death is still under investigation.
On Sunday, October 29, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that an autopsy has been completed.
However, the final results are pending a toxicology report, which could take several weeks to come through.
As of now, Perry’s cause of death is currently listed as “deferred” on an online record since it’s “pending additional investigation.”
The LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division is looking into the case and confirmed to PEOPLE, “foul play is not suspected at this time.”
They declined to further comment on what more evidence was recovered from the scene, as "the investigation is ongoing."
The Friends star who died on Saturday, October 28, at the age of 54, has been alleged to have drowned in his jacuzzi.
According to TMZ, sources revealed first responders were called to the scene over suspicion of cardiac arrest, noting no drugs were reportedly found at the location.
The news outlet also obtained a 911 dispatch audio in which "drowning" is referenced.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to PEOPLE that first responders arrived at the residence at 4:07 p.m. Saturday
An LAFD spokesperson said, "An adult male patient was deceased prior to first response arrival.”
"The patient was found by a bystander who had repositioned the victim where the head was out of water" in a freestanding jacuzzi.
"Firefighters pulled the victim out of the jacuzzi and did a quick medical assessment to find he was deceased," they concluded.
The late actor's family commented on the "tragic" situation in a statement shared with the outlet.
"We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother," his family began.
"Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love," they added.
