Gwen Stefani says Niall Horan is Blake Shelton and her ‘son’

Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan have been missing Blake Shelton as The Voice 2023 marks the first season without him.

During the previous season, former One Direction member, 30, and 47-years-old Blake formed a very strong friendship, hence now, the absence of Blake is not only being felt by his wife Stefani, 54, but also Horan.

The Rich Girl songstress shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight how she and her husband enjoy joking around with Niall and playfully teasing him on the show.

She went on to share the details saying, “Niall, I have to say -- our son -- it ends up that I love him,” She noted similarities between This Town singer and her husband saying Niall is “ a little Blake-ish”

“He's super awesome, he's talented, funny, cute, and has a cute accent. He's my mom's new favorite, like, everyone fell in love with him last season.” she added.

As this season Blake will not be among the voice judges, Stefani has taken up the mantle to banter Niall.

“Blake used to come home and be like, Oh Niall, I love that kid. I love that kid," she began.

“I do get it, [but] my whole joke is, Niall will be like, 'Oh I love Blake' or whatever, and I'm like, 'Well, it's weird because Blake never mentioned you one time. Never, like you're actually nonexistent in our house," she explained the banter between them.

Gwen Stefani stepped in her seventh season as a coach on The Voice, while Niall Horan made his debut on the show in the 23rd season in early 2023.

Niall's first season was remarkable as Gina Miles, a member of his team, emerged as the winner, making Niall the winning coach in his very first season.

Now, as The Voice enters its 24th season, Niall Horan is back for his second season as a coach.
