It has been years since Keanu Reeves made his major red carpet debut with his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant. Their debut appearance as couple was at the LACMA Art+ Film Gala in 2019.

The couple was holding hands which sparked rumors of them being romantically involved. It was confirmed by PEOPLE that the two are dating months before their big red carpet walk.

The duo keeps their relationship status under radar and has never make it official if they are engaged or not. They have been friends since at least 2011, long before they started dating.

Reeves, 59 and Grant, 50 has worked on several projects together. The visual artist illustrated two of reeves books, Ode to Happiness in 2011 and Shadows in 2016.

Although the two are super incognito when it comes to their love life, this year seems to be blooming with love for the couple as in March, Reeves discussed Grant in an interview with PEOPLE, signaling their romance was still as fresh as a daisy.

Grant recently attended the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards on Friday without the John Wick star.

When she was asked whether the if its harder or easier to attend red carpets alone the Ohio born artist gave a witty thoughtful answer.

“The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,” she tells the outlet. “I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”
