Selena Gomez pregnant VMAs 2023: Singer sparks rumors over growing baby bump

A fan shared a picture of Selena Gomez that kindled the speculations of many others that the singer is pregnant.

The 30-year-old singer stunned at the  2023 MTV VMAs  in a hand beaded scarlet halter gown crafted by Oscar De La Renta on Tuesday, Sept. 12. 

She has since been making headlines over assumptions that she might be expecting her first child. 

While some fans expressed excitement over a prospective birth, many called out publications for their unwarranted assumptions. 

"@selenagomez sis you pregnant or bloating?" wrote a fan on X, formerly Twitter. 

Another wrote: "@selenagomez pregnant or im buggin #MTVVMAS #MTVcv"

"Is Selena Gomez Pregnant [happy emoji] plz anybody calrify that for me"

The fourth one congratulated her, "Congratulations to Rema & Selena Gomez on this . But Selena looks very Pregnant and is looking like they are both in a sweet relationship[heart eyes emoji]"

On the other hand, some fans were not really happy about the whole scenario and come forward to defend the It Ain't Me singer, stating:

“I knew people would say this because they think women have to have flat stomachs and think it's okay to judge a woman's body, but Selena Gomez is NOT pregnant. #VMAs,” a user affirmed.

“No, Selena is not pregnant. The dress is very tight and she has a kidney in her belly,” stated another, responding to a query.

The People You Know hitmaker also won a Video Music Award in the category Best Afrobeats for her song Calm Down in collaboration with the Nigerian Rapper Rema.
