Ariana Madix defends living in same house as ex Tom Sandoval: 'I'm not rich'

Ariana Madix is laying bare reasons for sharing the same house as her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval, six months after he was caught in an affair with her then-best friend, Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss.

During an appearance on the latest episode of the Scheananigans podcast, the television personality offered an insight into her living arrangement with Sandoval, revealing she is not making enough money to get her own place just yet.

As for how she copes with minimizing interaction with the musician, Madix insisted she has made a home for herself in her own room, only getting out to use the kitchen.

She explained since the breakup, the reality star sleeps “a lot easier at night” as she no longer worries about Sandoval getting home during late hours.

“Yes, we’re in the same house but I don’t have to think, ‘He’s coming in my bedroom’ — because he’s not,” shared Madix, adding: "I sleep with my door locked, just in case.”

Ariana also noted the pair decided to cohabitate in their $2 million home because neither of them is "rolling in money right now."

She shared, “I have a pretty decent little set up: I stay in my room or I go in the kitchen if I have to. My room is kind of like a little apartment right, I don’t see him, I don’t interact with him and I stay in my own little zone. I’m busy, I’ve got a lot going on.”

Madix insisted her decision also stems from her desire to provide stability for her senior cat Kitty and her dog Mya, claiming, "I am not [expletive] around with my life, and I am not letting somebody else’s horrible decisions ruin my future. I’m taking care of myself.”
