Pink supports Britney Spears amid divorce with changes in singer’s lyrics

Pink is supporting Britney Spears out loud.

In the midst of Britney Spears' divorce from Sam Asghari, Pink expressed her affection for the Toxic singer.

Pink gently tweaked the words of her 2001 single Don't Let Me Get Me at a performance in Detroit, Michigan, on Wednesday as part of her Summer Carnival tour, which name-drops Spears.

In place of singing, “Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears,” she vocalized, “sweet Britney Spears,” according to a video posted to Instagram.

Cheers erupted from the audience as the Try singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, took the stage. Several people also left comments in favour of her.

“Aww that’s the kind of support she needs,” one fan wrote, while another chimed in, “So awesome, love Pink even more for doing that!!.”

On Wednesday, multiple sources confirmed that Spears, 41, and Asghari, 29, were divorcing after one year of marriage due to claims of infidelity.

Asghari allegedly claimed Spears "hooked up with at least one of the male staff members" at her home, according to sources speaking to TMZ on Thursday.

According to reports, Asghari heard of the affair after seeing a video of the pop star and the staff member "together" in a compromising position.

The former personal trainer also asserted that Spears instructed a different member of her staff to record an inappropriate video of her.
