Tragic news struck the entertainment industry as Angus Cloud, the talented 25-year-old star of the hit series Euphoria, passed away.
The actor's family confirmed his untimely death to TMZ on Monday, sharing a heartfelt statement expressing their grief and celebrating his remarkable life.
The statement began with the family conveying their heavy hearts as they bid farewell to their beloved Angus, describing him as an extraordinary human being who touched the lives of many as an artist, friend, brother, and son.
"Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss," they revealed.
"The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.
Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."
As a prominent figure in the industry, Angus Cloud's breakout role as Fezco on the acclaimed HBO series was also his Hollywood debut.
Interestingly, the talented actor secured the role after a casting agent spotted him while he was working at a restaurant in Brooklyn.
Despite his initial fate of dying in the first few episodes, Cloud's performance and the chemistry between his character and Maude Apatow's Lexi quickly made him a fan favourite.
The Season 2 finale of Euphoria left Cloud's character in a precarious position, getting shot in the stomach during a SWAT raid.
Beyond his work on Euphoria, Angus Cloud made appearances in music videos for artists such as Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
Cloud was set to star in an upcoming monster film from Radio Silence, slated to hit theatres in April 2024.
