Cardi B has found herself on the radar of the police over accusations of battery.
The police report is filed by the victim of the Bodak Yellow rapper’s microphone attack during her Las Vegas show on Saturday.
Cardi B pelted a microphone in the way of one of her fans who tossed a drink at her while she was performing on stage over the weekend.
Videos of the incident showed a concertgoer throwing a beverage at her while she was performing Bodak Yellow. Seemingly fed up by the rising trend of assault, the rapper didn’t waste a second retaliating with the closest thing to her.
It is unclear whether the concertgoer who threw the drink filed the report, or if it was the fan who might have been hit by the microphone.
Cardi B's police report alleged that an individual was "struck by an item that was thrown from the stage," accusing the rapper of battery.
No arrests or citations have been issued yet.
In other clips, the perpetrator was quickly surrounded by the concert’s security and escorted out of the show as she tried apologizing to Cardi B.
The latest incident is part of the rising trend of fans pelting objects at artists during their performances onstage.
Although the trend has been there for quite some time, it gained momentum after Bebe Rexha was gravely injured after a man pelted his cell phone during one of her performances earlier this month.
Ava Max, Harry Styles, and Drake became the many artists recently subjected to attempted assault.
