Drake has cancelled his upcoming show in Memphis, Tennessee set to take place in August as a part of his It’s All A Blur tour.
The concert’s venue FedExForum officials released a statement in the wake of the cancellation, owing it to logistical issues. "Due to the magnitude of the production of the Drake concert, it is logistically impossible to bring the show as designed to the FedExForum on August 6th," the statement read. "Unfortunately, the show is cancelled. Refunds will be issued at point of purchase."
The news of cancellation first appeared on Ticketmaster, with a notification that the purchased tickets will be refunded.
The Memphis show of the In My Feelings rapper was originally slated for Thursday, June 29, which was rescheduled to the 6th of the upcoming month.
The Hotline Bling singer was also among the victims of artists being hurled objects during their performance alongside the likes of Bebe Rexha, Harry Styles, and others.
During his Chicago show, a phone was pelted at Drake while he was onstage in the middle of a performance.
Luckily, the object only hit his wrist after he saw it coming ahead and tried to catch it. Unfazed by the stint, the dad-of-one continued with his show.
Aside from cell phones, there has been a rising trend of bras getting thrown at the singer’s concerts, and he actually seems to enjoy it.
At a show in New York, he was tossed a 36-L bra, to which he quipped, "36-L? L? How many letters does it go up to? What comes after? A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L?" prompting the crowd to burst into laughter.
