A video of the 30-year-old WAP rapper Cardi B throwing her microphone at a fan after they hurled their drink at her has gone viral.
Fans hurling items at their favourite performers appears to be a new trend. Bebe Rexha had to be carried off the stage earlier this year after being struck in the head by a concertgoer's phone. And just lately, a Drake fan who had ditched their bra in front of the God's Plan rapper received an offer from Playboy.
Cardi B, however, has shown that she is not to be taken lightly when a drink was thrown at her as she was giving a brief performance at Drai's Beach Club in Las Vegas.
The American rapper didn't waste any time striking back by aiming her microphone toward the unaware fan.
"She did what needed to be done! People need to stop throwing stuff at performers!" one Twitter user wrote in support of the rapper’s actions.
And they weren’t the only one, with another tweeting, "This trend of attending female artists’ sets just to attack them is disgusting and I hope everyone participating gets that energy BACK"
With the hashtag "jealousy," Cardi B herself responded to the drink attack by adding, "Water and gas included... literally." Additionally, she has previously used her microphone to repress rowdy concertgoers.
