Meghan Markle's show Suits ran for nine seasons

Meghan Markle's successful show Suits has soared to a new viewership record even after the show came to an end four years ago.

According to Nilsen, the hit USA Network show, which aired from 2011 to 2019, hit an all-time high with 3.14 billion streaming minutes from June 26 to July 2 following its Netflix debut last month.

The show left Manifest behind which previously held the record of 2.49 billion watch time minutes, as per Hollywood Reporter.

However, its pertinent to mention that Nilsen’s calculation may amount Suits to be a tad higher since only takes US television viewing into account rather than phone and tablet streaming.

For the unversed, the former actress starred as paralegal Rachel Zane with Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht.

The show went on for nine seasons, with the Duchess of Sussex announcing her departure from the show after season 7 following her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017.

While Markle has long put acting behind her, her deal with Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel's talent agency WME revealed that she wanted to be a "power player" in the industry.

"Even though she is, of course, an actress, this isn’t about movies or shows for Meghan to star in, it is about creating projects for her to produce – she wants to run the show," an insider said.
