Taylor Swift explains meaning behind I Can See You music video

Taylor Swift has released a brand-new music video for her song out of the Vault, I Can See You, in honour of the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on Friday.

The Lover singer took to Instagram Saturday to celebrate the release by posting a series of behind the scene stills from the video.

She also reunited with her ex from a decade ago, Taylor Lautner, who starred in the video alongside Joey King and Presley Cash.

"WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out," she enthused in the caption.

Taylor went on to explain the meaning behind the video, noting that the demonstrated heist is symbolic of "how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music."

"I had my heart set on @joeyking, @taylorlautner and @helloimpresleycash starring in it," she continued. "Joey and Presley had been in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!!"

The Grammy winner also paid tribute to Lautner, as well as his wife Tay Dome, who was present on the set while filming. "Taytay is INCREDIBLE in this (didn’t have a stunt double!) and shout out to @taylautner for being so awesome to hang with on set. The Tale of 3 Taylors."

"I always wanted to direct fight scenes/a heist storyline and had the most incredible time plotting this out with my amazing DP @selajon," the songstress added. "So proud of this one."

Among the carousel of photos featured Taylor Swift posing with Presley Cash, recreating a Spider-Man meme with Lautner and Dome, and a solo shot of hers.
