Kim Petras proved to be a real fan of Fergie.
When she performed on Friday as part of the Citi Concert Series, Kim Petras paid tribute to a classic TODAY show moment.
The 30-year-old "Unholy" singer fulfilled a childhood dream by performing on the same platform where Fergie performed her infamous one-handed cartwheels in 2008.
She wore a purple hooded long-sleeve crop top. Fergie was depicted in the middle of a cartwheel on Petras' shirt, which perfectly captured the iconic 15-year-old pop culture moment.
Even the Black Eyed Peas singer herself noticed the style, as evidenced by Fergie's tweet after the show.
"Just got to relive performing on the TODAY Show thru @kimpetras," the singer tweeted. "I’m so honored. You killed those high notes babe!!! Keep shining."
Other than the top, Petras' attire was kept basic throughout. She was dressed in a black miniskirt, skin-tight thigh-high platform boots, and a hip-length leather jacket.
The Grammy winner accessorised with a pair of rectangular black glasses with a distinctive feature: a thick frame that resembled ruffles around the lenses.
Petras had to include a little shine, of course. The "Heart to Break" singer wore large diamond-studded hoops and a metallic silver microphone with striking nails that had tiny skulls on them.
