Sylvester Stallone reveals Adele refused to buy LA home without Rocky statue

Sylvester Stallone gifted Adele his Rocky statue after she bought his Los Angeles mansion last year.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the action hero revealed that he wanted to take the statue by the pool at his former home with him when he moved, however, the Easy On Me singer had different plans in mind.

"That’s a no deal. That’s gonna blow the whole deal," Adele told Stallone while negotiating.

Nevertheless, the actor is content with the statue being in the hands of the Oscar winner. "I like what she’s doing, she’s making it gorgeous," he said of the statue of his character, boxer Rocky Balboa.

According to TMZ, Adele began renovating her $58 million mansion last month.

The iconic franchise was the product of Stallone’s marvellous scriptwriting, which ended up winning three Oscars and many nominations.

However, for the past few years, the franchise was embroiled in a dispute regarding ownership, which resulted in conflicts within the cast and crew.

Stallone himself launched at the franchise’s producer Irwin Winkler as well as his son David on social media a few years ago and detailed the betrayal in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year.

"It was a deal that was done unbeknownst to me by people that I thought were close to me and they basically gave away whatever rights I would have had," he lamented.
