Sydney Sweeney shares parents' hilarious reactions to watching Euphoria

Sydney Sweeney’s family wasn’t prepared to see that side of their daughter in Euphoria.

In an interview with Sunday Today, the Reality actress dished on the reactions of her parents and grandparents when they saw her raunchy portrayal of Cassie in the gritty HBO show.

“My mom visited me on set quite a few times, so she knew the story,” Sweeney shared. “My dad didn’t. I didn't prepare my dad at all. … So he decided he was going to watch it without telling me, with his parents.”

The actress revealed that her dad and grandfather “turned off” the show shortly into it, and “walked out,” meanwhile, Sweeney’s grandmother wasn’t as phased by the content.

“She’s a big fan of mine,” Sweeney said of her grandmother. “I bring her all over the world to my different sets and I make her an extra.”

Sweeney also went on to discuss the monumental success of the HBO show, and its subsequent impact on young audiences.

“It’s amazing. It’s become a part of the culture,” enthused The White Lotus star. “I remember my brother, he was a freshman or sophomore in college, and they were throwing Euphoria-themed parties.”

The HBO hit is set to return for a season 3.
