Tom Holland starrer Marvel Cinematic Universe movie spider-man is not actually the one he would like to binge watch.
The 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is "the best Spider-Man movie that's ever made," according to actor Tom Holland, who has played Spider-Man in three stand-alone films as well as Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
“I think the first ‘Spider-Verse’ movie is the best Spider-Man movie that’s ever been made,” Holland told the AP at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room.
“I’m so proud of everyone involved. [Producer] Amy Pascal is like my mom. I was supposed to go with her [to the premiere] as her date, I couldn’t go because I’m here working. But I’m incredibly proud of them, I’m excited for the second one. I’m sure it will live up to every expectation, and I can’t wait to see it.”
The highly-anticipated sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, titled Across the Spider-Verse, opened in theaters on Friday.
Along with an outstanding cast that includes Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Daniel Kaluuya, and Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld return as the voices of Miles Morales/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman. The movie Across the Spider-Verse has received highly favourable reviews; it now has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
