Myles Stephenson, 31, has bravely shared the heart-wrenching revelation about his son Shiloh's battle with a stroke.

The former X Factor winner, who celebrated the birth of his child with his girlfriend in January last year, opened up on the distressing situation.

Myles took to Instagram on Friday to recount the signs they noticed when Shiloh was just six months old - his right hand was persistently clenched into a fist, and they observed him dragging his right foot while attempting to walk.

Stephenson, following the advice of his family, took his son Shiloh to the doctor for a routine check-up.

Little did he know that this visit would lead to a heartbreaking diagnosis: Shiloh had experienced a silent stroke that went unnoticed until now, resulting in irreversible damage to his brain and a diagnosis of hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

It was when Shiloh reached the age of 12 months that they noticed him pulling himself up to stand, but it took an additional six months for him to take his first steps.

When the young boy began walking, that the family observed him dragging his right foot.

Numerous appointments followed, culminating in an MRI scan that revealed unexpected news: damage to the left side of Shiloh's brain, resulting in impairment to his right-sided limbs.

Rak-Su singer and his partner are steadily learning more about their son's condition, despite it still being a relatively new experience for them.

They extend an invitation to parents or individuals with Hemiplegia to reach out privately or through comments, seeking advice and sharing experiences that have provided support and guidance.
