Tara Reid dissects reason behind her lackluster career: It's 'really unfair'

Tara Reid is reflecting on some of the dark realities of Hollywood.

In a rare interview with Mr. Warburton Magazine, the American Pie actress theorized on the reason behind her relatively slumped career than her colleagues.

“I’m not married, I don’t have kids…and I think, in Hollywood, if you don’t have kids or you’re not married, you’re judged,” she told the magazine’s creator, Derek Warburton. “So they still think you’re that party girl from 40 years ago.”

“What if you can’t have kids or what if you don’t want to get married?” Reid continued. “You can’t judge people on that anymore. And it’s the one thing that I think is really unfair about our society.”

Reid’s perusal of her situation falls flat in front of the film industry’s rite of passage, which has repeatedly sidelined notable actresses because they became mothers.

Noting her stellar group of gal pals, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and others, the actress shared, “All of a sudden, if you have a kid and you get married, ‘Oh she grew up, she’s great.’”

“If it’s meant to happen, it will happen but you can’t keep dragging people’s face in it,” she affirmed. “Like get over it, there are other things to talk about.”
