Zendaya, Tom Holland return for fourth installment of Spider-Man movie

Tom Holland and Zendaya are returning to the Marvel Universe!

In an interview with Variety, producer Amy Pascal revealed that a fourth Spider-Man movie with the pair is still in the works, but development has lately been halted owing to the ongoing writer's strike.

"Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” she explained. “We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started."

The last installment in the series, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was released in 2021.

Fans watched Holland, 27, return as Peter Parker in the film, and Zendaya, 26, as MJ to a world that has discovered his superhero identity. Peter enlists Doctor Strange's assistance to change the flow of history in order to return to the time when everyone knew he was Spider-Man.

While nothing is known about the plot of the fourth film, the cast will apparently return to the location where they originally met.

"They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man," a source previously told People magazine.

"They've been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they've gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another."

Despite maintaining a largely private connection, they made their Instagram romance official in September 2021 with a behind-the-scenes photo in which Holland referred to Zendaya as "My MJ" as a birthday tribute.
