Rachel Hollis is going through a lot.

Rachel Hollis is giving us a peek into her therapeutic process.

Four months after her ex-husband Dave Hollis passed away at the age of 47, the influencer recently thought back on how she handled his passing.

On the May 24 episode of The Rachel Hollis Podcast, Rachel said, "After my kids' dad passed away, I have even more of a plan because leaving someone to manage it all is unbelievable, You don't even think about all the stuff."

She continued by saying that she had relocated her and Dave's four children—sons Jackson, Sawyer, and Ford, and daughter Noah—back to Los Angeles in order for them to be nearer to their respective families and to feel more a part of the community.

"We've added this massive changeup of closing down one piece of this thing and making the decision to move," Rachel continued. "It's a lot of things."

Additionally, she is managing Dave's estate and personal property in addition to raising her children.

"I don't even have words for how intense it is to try and help process someone's estate stuff," the Girl Wash Your Face author shared. "I never thought about this in my life. Like, what happens when someone passes away? And someone has to pay the bills, someone has to—what do you do with their physical stuff?"

Even the task of organising her late ex-husband's estate and will required the assistance of three other individuals, including her lover, according to Rachel. The 40-year-old, however, has gone into overdrive to make sure that everyone's affairs are in order as a result of Dave's unexpected death, including her parents.

"I was joking with them but like not joking," she said on the podcast. "Like, ‘Do not do this to us girls. Do not when you pass away—just leave it all for us to figure out.'"

The self-help guru continued, "Nobody wants to think about it, but it's real. And to ignore the fact that something might happen and you might not be here, I think, is so dangerous."

Before cutting the interview short, Rachel said that her attorney had urged her to select "four layers" of backup guardians for her kids in the event of her passing.

"I'm like, if something has happened to four layers of adults, it's the apocalypse," she teased. "The kids get to raise themselves."

His passing was confirmed by Dave's family on February 14 in a statement to the Los Angeles Times. A family representative revealed that he died at home in Texas after being recently admitted to the hospital for "heart issues."
