Alec Baldwin receives 'new hip' following 'intense chronic pain chapter'

Alec Baldwin is on an extensive road to recovery following a crucial surgery.

Taking to Instagram Tuesday, the actor’s wife Hilaria revealed that Baldwin underwent a hip replacement surgery after he had been going through a "very intense chronic pain chapter."

"Alec got a new hip today…it was a long time necessary. We have been through so much together…as your partner and as you heal, I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life," she wrote alongside a picture of the two from the hospital bed.

The yoga instructor went on to express his gratitude to the doctors for their cooperation during the whole ordeal, as well as thanked "the other amazing people who so generously are bringing him safely through this."

The Beetlejuice actor also left a sweet comment under his wife’s post and wrote: “And you. Thanks to you..”

Hilaria, who has been married to the actor for over a decade, celebrated the pair’s highs and lows in their relationship in a heartfelt post on Instagram back in February.

"What a journey we have had been through, to, in, and around and continuing…every emotional place I don't think either one of us could have ever predicted," The Living Clearly Method wrote.

"But here we are…still standing, surrounded by all of you amazing humans, our tiny babes…and together. In it with you, Alec… I'm here, we are here…never alone," she gushed.
