Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem are the “Compton Cowboys”.
The music video for "The Hillbillies," a new song by Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem, has just been made available.
Fans were taken by surprise on Tuesday (May 30) when Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar debuted their video under the PgLang YouTube account without any prior notice or promotional buildup.
Kendrick begins the song with some light flexing. K-Dot happily exclaims, "I don't buy much, I buy land, bro," even before dropping a bar. In the course of his brief tirade, Kendrick continues, "And I'm best dressed moving forward/Compton cowboy all that, yeah."
On their most recent tune, Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar trade bars in a manner reminiscent of their hit single from 2021, "Family Ties," with Keem initiating and controlling the flow.
The film, which was directed by Neal Farmer, takes viewers on a visual journey as the duo posts up in a variety of settings, such as private aircraft, the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium, and outside of the United States, giving the idea that it might have been recorded on their European tour.
Tyler, The Creator makes a major cameo in the video. Tyler can be seen in one moment relaxing on the grass in the middle of Dodger Stadium.
Also outside the stadium, he joins Kendrick and Keem as they lazily recline on a car's hood. Tyler also posted the video on his Twitter account, only tweeting a smiling face and the YouTube link.
