Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Are LUCKY: Kate Middleton's Brother tells why

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are lucky, as Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton says.

In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Kate Middleton's younger brother, 36, said he's "really pleased" that his niece and nephews are raising a pet. James' beloved dog Ella's litter gave birth to Prince William and Princess Kate's first family dog, Lupo, and James also gave them their current dog, Orla, after Luna, James' favourite dog, delivered puppies.

"I'm really pleased that they are able to enjoy and have the benefit of a dog in their lives," James said. "I see them being lucky that they have a dog in their life."

When asked why he didn't get a dog until he was a teenager, James recalled that he would "write letters to my parents to try to convince them to let me have one." The Middleton family eventually acquired a golden retriever named Tilly.

"I found a lot of solace in my dog, Tilly, particularly when I was a young teenager," the Ella & Co. founder told the outlet. "She knew all of my secrets at the time — who I fancied and all of those little tricky parts that come with growing up that I never told anybody."

Prior to the passing of Prince William and Princess Kate's dog Lupo in November 2020, Orla, a Celtic name meaning "golden princess," joined the household. In May of that same year, James reported that his dog Luna had given birth to "six healthy little pups," and he added that he wouldn't be keeping the puppies himself since "they all have lovely homes waiting for them" - it was later revealed that one went to his sister.

Princess Charlotte and Orla seem to have an especially close relationship. Charlotte smiled for the camera in a new photograph taken in a flower field to commemorate her 8th birthday earlier this month. She was holding the cocker spaniel in her arms.
