Mick Jagger is looking back at some of the better times with his “wonderful” friend Tina Turner.

The Rolling Stones frontman took to Twitter to pen a heartfelt letter for the late singer, who died Wednesday after a long illness.

“I'm so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer,” he wrote alongside a series of throwback pictures.

“'She was inspiring, warm, funny, and generous. She helped me so much when I was young and I will never forget her,” he added.

Among the two solo snaps of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll were the photos of the pair performing in Philadelphia at a 1985 Live Aid show.

It also featured a monochrome picture from the ‘70s, which reflected the playful relationship between the two musicians.

The Proud Mary singer frequently broached her bond with Jagger in her interviews, including her final interview with The Guardian where she confessed that she’s “always had a crush on Mick Jagger,” when asked about her celebrity crush.

“I loved when we toured with the Rolling Stones,” she said.

Turner’s death was confirmed by her publicist who released a statement, saying that she died at her home in Switzerland.

Tina died “after a long illness in her home,” her publicist Bernard Doherty said.
