Piers Morgan has given his take on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s paparazzi car chase and called out the couple for being "victimhood-worshipping drama queens".

Writing in a New York Post column, the former GB broadcaster gave an earful to Prince Harry and Meghan and dismissed their "near catastrophic" car chase as a part of the couple's "drama".

He said, "Another load of hyperbolic old codswallop from a pair of ludicrous, victimhood-worshipping drama queens who wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in their rich, entitled, hypocritical faces."

"As with so many assertions made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it turns out their truth wasn't, in fact, the truth," he said.

This comes after critics slammed the couple for being dramatic over the ordeal as police insisted that against the claims of the former royals, "there was no reported near-catastrophe or multiple near collisions, and nobody was hurt or arrested."

Furthermore, the taxi driver that drove the couple during the chase also rubbished the couple’s claims stating that the situation was not as dangerous as it was made up to be.

The couple released a statement speaking of their experience after the car chase.

As per their spokesperson, the couple was involved in a "near catastrophic car chase".

"Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi," the spokesperson said in a statement.

"This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers," the spokesperson added.
