Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ruffled some feathers when Prince William's pal called them out

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were called out by an angered pal of Prince William following the couple’s "near catastrophic" car chase with paparazzi.

Speaking to GB News, the Prince of Wales’ pal called out the couple for being "hysterical" about the ordeal, which particularly angered the Duke of Sussex due to his rife with the press.

In turn, he sided with Prince William and Kate Middleton for putting up with the couple’s tantrums.

"William and Catherine have put up with s**t like this in the past.

"Everyone understands his anger at the photographers, but making hysterical statements doesn’t help matters, especially when, as the Queen might have said, recollections may vary."

Furthermore, a friend close to King Charles too gave insight on the matter and told The Daily Beast that that Prince Harry’s angered reaction at the press was unwarranted for, considering that his words would fall on deaf ears.

"He knows how scary it can be," the friend said.

"But he has always tried to get Harry to understand that complaining about photographers or the media is pointless.

"It just makes it all worse."

The revelation come after a statement from police confirmed that in wake of the car chase "there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries or arrests" which was bolstered by the couple’s taxi driver that labeled their heightened emotions as "exaggerated".

Following the car chase, the couple, through their spokesperson released a statement regarding the event, insisting that they were "relentlessly" chased for what was "over two hours".

They said: "Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms Ragland were involved in a near-catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi.

"This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.

"While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.

"Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all involved."
