Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore in Todd Haynes’ Cannes Film, “May December”.

The plot of "May December" centres on an actress (Portman) who is conducting research for a new part. She is required to play the lead in a film that is based on the romance between an elderly woman (Moore) and a very young man (Charles Melton).

She starts to follow the woman and observe their connection, which was once the subject of tabloid stories, for study purposes.

The new clip starts off by showing Moore’s and Melton’s characters hanging out with friends. Moore comes to Melton with a drink in her hand while he is sitting among other fellows. She sits beside him and lays her head on his chest, curling up her legs and Melton putting his hand around her.

All of this is being seen by Natalie Portman sitting a little farther away on a table, probably beside a lake, when an old lady walks up to her saying, “They’re sweet aren’t they?”, to which Portman replies, “Very”.

The lady then sits beside Portman with a drink in her hand and says, “They are very beloved part of this community”, to which Portman replies, “I can see that”, further asking, “So, what is it you love most about Gracie?”

“She always knows what she wants, she's Unapologetic,” the lady answers listing two things she loves about Gracie.
