Globally adored boy band One Direction have initiated a new group Whatsapp chat, reigniting reunion hopes.

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan are said to have reestablished contact through the creation of this group chat.

Fans' hopes for new music from the beloved band, One Direction, have been reignited as Liam Payne, 29, recently disclosed that the boys are back in touch.

Liam  told The Sun On Sunday: "I don't know — but we just started a new group chat, so that is something."

Adding to the excitement, recent reports suggest that Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have been collaborating with Liam on his upcoming solo album.

The trio reunited in a Los Angeles studio, where Liam has been diligently working on his second solo project.

An insider said: "Liam is great pals with Niall and Louis, so loved catching up with them while they were all in LA.

Being in the studio together felt natural, so they all jumped on a track.

"It was second nature to them singing together and felt like old times. They had a right laugh.

Producers are hoping Liam includes it on his finished album, fans will love it."

Payne has been making efforts to reconnect with his former bandmates from One Direction, as reported by Ok! Magazine

Liam's desire to reunite with his fellow musicians comes after a recent encounter with Louis Tomlinson at the premiere of Louis' documentary, All Of Those Voices, held in London.

Liam's solo endeavors have not reached the level of success he had hoped for, leading to a sense of stagnation in his work.
