Tom Cruise, one of Hollywood's biggest names and a true action movie icon, has reportedly spent $50,000 on cosmetic procedures to maintain his youthful appearance.
As a celebrity who performs his own stunts, he needs to look perfect on camera, and this may have led him to rely on Botox injections a bit too much, according to a cosmetic surgery expert.
Even though he just turned 60 last year, he wants to keep up his flawless image, as he has done for over three decades.
However, some recent photos suggest that he's starting to show his age.
Fans notice differences between his photos of 2017 and the current version.
According to Dr. Richard Westreich, a plastic surgeon interviewed by The Sun, believes that Cruise is likely to continue with more treatments in the future.
Recent photos of the star show a forehead that looks "as smooth as a drum," which Westreich says is likely the result of some heavy Botox use. However, the doctor also noted that Cruise may have waited a while to get the treatment, adding that he likes to go easy on male patients so that they can still make facial expressions.
Regardless of how much Cruise may have spent on cosmetic treatments, he still proves that one is not ugly, but simply poor.
Dr. Richard also revealed some intriguing details about Cruise's possible procedures. "Usually male actors want very light treatments because they want to maintain their ability to make expressions," said Westreich.
"Looking at past photos of Tom smiling, his brows go up and he has lines on his forehead. I can see that by 2018, and certainly by 2022, Tom had some pretty deep forehead lines, and so I definitely think he's recently had Botox."
Westreich went on to note that Cruise's eyebrows also appear to be lower than usual, which could be a side effect of heavy Botox use.
