What we know about Jamie Foxx's mysterious 'medical complication'

Jamie Foxx and his family have remained hushed about the nature of the actor’s medical complication, bar occasional updates from his co-stars and Hollywood pals.

In April, it was reported that the Ray actor was transported to a hospital following a medical emergency he suffered on the set of his upcoming Netflix comedy Back in Action.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne shortly updated the concerned lot of her father’s condition while still remaining coy about the details.

"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she wrote April 12. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers."

Since then, many of the Spiderman actor’s co-stars, including Martin Lawrence and Nick Cannon, have assured Foxx’s stable condition.

The actor himself logged into his Instagram briefly earlier this month to express his gratitude for all the well-wishes.

“Appreciate all the love!!!” the post read. “Feeling blessed.”

Foxx’s behavior and determination to maintain his privacy is true to his long history of keeping his personal life out of the spotlight.

During an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, comedian Kevin Hart deemed himself “fortunate” to share a close bond with the actor, in which way he is able to keep tabs on his health.

He noted that Foxx is “getting better,” and also touched upon the reason behind his decision to keep the diagnosis under wraps.

“They’re being tight for reasons just about where he is because Jamie’s always been a private person to a certain degree,” Hart said.
