King Charles III has departed Westminster Abbey with Queen Camilla following the elaborate coronation ceremony.

The Royal pair passed the Chief Marshal, who ordered procession groups and onlookers to come to attention as the coronation ended.

The King and Queen boarded the ostentatious gold state coach, closely followed behind by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their kids, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Thus began the procession at the top of The Mall near Admiralty Arch, as 4,000 ceremonial troops take part in escorting the King and Queen back to Buckingham Palace.

They were cheered on by the crowd waiting just outside the castle, which also included the congregation of over 2000+ attendees.

The Chief Marshal also heralded the procession marshals to hoist the ceremonial signal flags as well as ceremonial batons.

The rest of the Royal family also left the procession in their respective carriages.

King Charles III officially ascended to the British throne today, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last September.

Charles’ wife Camilla was also crowned as the consort and will officially be referred to as the Queen.
