WWE champion Leah Van Dale expecting first child with hubby Matt Polinsky

Leah Van Dale is going to be a mom!

The WWE star announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Matt Polinsky during an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday.

"It's just all been such a whirlwind," she said.

The 35-year-old multi-hyphenate star explained that it was “hard to get excited off the bat” because of her past experience with pregnancies that ended in miscarriages.

However, it didn’t stop her from being “cautiously optimistic.”

“I try to have a good mindset, a positive mindset this time around, and it's working. So I'm very happy about that,” the wrestler gushed.

For the unversed, Van Dale experienced two miscarriages last year in September and October, hence her initial response to her positive pregnancy test was more of fear than elation.

"After the first [test], I'm like, 'Oh, are we sure? Are we sure?' ... I mean, I took [additional tests] for weeks just to make sure they still said positive,” she explained.

“So it's really just been such a mind work to get my head around. But the fact that I'm here, I'm on the other side of it, I'm almost out of the first trimester at this point ... it's been quite a journey,” Leah added.
