NEW: SZA Hits Her First Hot 100 No. 1 Single With Kill Bill

After waiting a very long time, SZA has finally landed her first Hot 100 No. 1 with the mega-hit Kill Bill.

The achievement is notable since this is the first time the R&B and pop star has attained the coveted No. 1 spot, despite coming incredibly close recently.

This week, the tune jumps from No. 4, where it ranked last week, to the summit of the Hot 100.

The notable move comes following the release of a new remix featuring Doja Cat.

Now it has become common practice for superstars to re-release their hits with new features to renew interest.

Even though the remix was a hit, Doja Cat is not listed on the Hot 100 chart as the remix did not account for the majority of the song's overall consumption during the tracking week.

Despite that, the updated take on the single has helped Kill Bill gain across almost all the significant metrics that feed into the Hot 100.

The song rose one spot from No. 3 to No. 2 on the Radio Songs chart, with 86.5 million radio airplay audience impressions last week, according to Billboard.

Kill Bill also soared from No. 4 to No. 3 on the Streaming Songs ranking, with 28.3 million streams.

Sales accounted for the largest percentage gain week-over-week, with the tune improving from No. 36 to No. 8 on Digital Song Sales, selling 5,000 downloads, though that’s not often a large enough quantity for a cut to hit the penthouse.

Earlier, Kill Bill  spent eight weeks at its previous high point of No. 2 earlier this year, missing out on the top spot time over and over again.

This week, SZA replaced Morgan Wallen at No. 1 with the hit, as his current single Last Night   dipped just a bit.

One week prior, Drake attempted to overtake with his new single Search & Rescue, but failed to do so by only one spot.

Kill Bill  is the latest single from SZA's highly anticipated sophomore album SOS, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release.

It has gone on to become one of the most popular titles of 2023, comfortably sitting at No. 3 on the ranking of the most-consumed albums and EPs in America this weekend EPs in America this week.
