Jimin Sets new records with his album Face

BTS Jimin becomes the first soloist in K-pop to spend 3 weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart

Jimin, as is well-known, is already at the forefront of record-breaking.

He is the first and only Korean soloist to rank inside the Top 10 of the UK Official Singles Chart at #8, and as of the third week of release, his new song Like Crazy has continued to uphold its amazing performance on this chart by keeping it within the Top 40 for three consecutive weeks.

This also means Jimin is the first and only Korean soloist to rank inside the Top 40 of the UK Official Singles Chart for three weeks.

The only other Korean acts to actually rank on the chart for this long were two group acts, one being ironic, his own group BTS.

Back in the States, the song is keeping up and proving its worth in this market as it has remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a third consecutive week.

This means that this is the longest-charting Korean solo song on the chart after PSY's Gentleman in 2013, which is now a decade old.

Additionally, this means that Jimin now becomes the 4th longest-charting Korean soloist on the chart, a remarkable feat for someone that has not gone solo a number of times before.

Aside from that, Jimin has also maintained quite a lot of momentum and ranked on other Billboard charts like the Artist 100, World Digital Song Sales Billboard 200, Global 200, Top Current Album Sales Chart, World Albums Chart, Top Album Sales Chart, Digital Song Sales, Global 200 (Excl. US) and many more.

BTS and its members are going strong and proving their worth and success as solos too.

His album now becomes the biggest album debut by an artist on the chart in 2023, with a total of close to 1.4 million album units sold. That is phenomenal.

On the United World Chart, and specifically the albums chart, Jimin's FACE remained at #1 for the second week in a row with 279k units sold, which also resulted in a new record for Jimin.

With this number of sales units, FACE now becomes an excellent rank of 3rd best-selling album of 2023 on this chart, not only that but doing this in just three weeks itself!
