Katy Perry unleashes trick for her viral Las Vegas' 'eye-glitch'

Do you recall all the rumors that Katy Perry is a robot or clone, according to various conspiracy theories? When she performed a "doll eye" a few months ago as part of her Las Vegas engagement, "Play," such speculations went viral.

Perry has, however, disclosed a strange technique she employs to provide her makeup crew with real-time input. Katy demonstrated the "doll eye" motion in a most recent Vogue fashion show film. She employs a technique where she maintains one eye closed while keeping the other open.

Perry said she picked up this method so she could give notes to her team as they did her hair and cosmetics.

"I've sat in a hair and make-up chair for 15 years," she said.

"If they're putting eyeshadow on this eye and someone is putting my hair up into a French twist, I want to give notes in real-time." The singer added: "I could still maintain all functions while keeping one eye closed."

Social media sensation: Eye-Glitch

When Perry originally went popular for her "doll eye" technique in October 2022, it was known as the "eye glitch." She appeared to be unable to keep her right eye open during a performance of her Las Vegas residency show, "Play." Fans responded to the move on social media, with some making jokes about it and others finding it frightening.

By posting a video of the incident on Instagram, Perry made an effort to shed some light on the situation. She wrote in the post's caption: "Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year! "
