Johnny Depp loves the calm in the chaos.
In an interview with Somerset Life, the 59-year-old actor dished on his love for “places with characters” as he resides in an 850-acre estate in Somerset, finished with a 19th-century mansion.
“I just love places with character. British people are cool and will greet you as if you are a neighbor — without going over the top,” he told the magazine.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star continued: “I like going to places, seeing things, and meeting people — but I'm not the great extrovert that people think.”
Depp bought the stunning estate back in 2014 for $13 million, which boasts 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms as well as features sprawling walled gardens and a shoot.
He noted that he’s “quite a shy person” contrary to his public persona, noting, “That’s one of the great things about Britain, and especially Somerset; I can just be me — and that's nice.”
“I can go into shops without being surrounded by people wanting selfies. I don't mind that up to a point, but sometimes it gets a little too crowded,” the actor shared.
Last year, Johnny Depp made headlines after he won a contentious defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
