John Wick: Chapter 4 starring Keanu Reeves is expected to be the biggest earner in the franchise

With the release of John Wick: Chapter 4 just on the horizon it is expected that the action movie will bring in big numbers at the box office.

Considering the reception it received at its early screenings at South by Southwest it is projected that the film will set records on its opening weekend alone.

The Keanu Reeves starrer is slated to release on March 24 and the global opening weekend is reportedly expected to rake in $115 million, making it a record for the John Wick franchise.

From these estimates, $65 to $70 million are expected from the domestic, US and Canada, market with the remainder coming internationally.

The massive numbers will mean that the movie would have entered the profit zone within the first week considering its $100 million budget.

This comes in stark contrast to the recent box office bomb of Shazam! Fury of the Gods which barely made   $65.5 million globally.

John Wick 4 Bags Franchise's Highest Rotten Tomatoes Score

Critics waxed lyrical in their reviews calling the fourth installment "glorious, epic and badass" among a lot more.

Other critics like Eric Eisenberg of CinemaBlend  expressed how the movie "earned" its long runtime.

"It's an epic with smart pacing that never lets the action feel exhausting, and the set pieces are phenomenal," Eisenberg wrote on Twitter.

"Great cast of series newcomers, but Donnie Yen is the MVP."

Collider's  Steve Weintraub called the movie "f**king awesome" and that he "had to pick my jaw off the ground from some of the insane and inventive set pieces."
