Selena Gomez sports adorable wedding dress, giving peek in upcoming episode of Only Murders

With Selena Gomez's all-dolled-up bridal look, fans are getting a fresh insight into Only Murders in the Building's forthcoming season thanks to Steve Martin.

The 77-year-old actor appeared with costar Selena Gomez in a new image shared to Twitter on Tuesday while rocking a dashing tuxedo. Selena Gomez was decked up in full wedding regalia, including an antique lace gown and matching veil.

"Guess what just happened!" Martin captioned the snap.

Martin's photo was recognized by fans as a Father of the Bride parody. In the 1991 movie, Martin plays George Banks, a man whose daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams Paisley) tells her parents she's engaged when she returns from studying abroad. The story follows George as he unceremoniously meets his future in-laws and adjusts to life while working with a wonderfully outrageous wedding consultant, who is portrayed by Martin Short, a co-star from Gomez's Martin's Only Murders co-star.

"The neighbor of the bride," one fan wrote as another added, "Wasn't there a movie called … oh yeah, I get it.Congrats."

One Twitter user quipped, "Steve, you're going to go broke with all these weddings!" while one queried, "Life imitates art?"

In another image Martin tweeted, Short, 72, smiled while posing with the stunning bride.

"Turns out this happened, too." Martin wrote.

Gomez, 30, also took advantage of the occasion by striking a few amusing moves while wearing the gown in her own Instagram post. Her white gloves held up a can of Coca-Cola while she sat on the floor and exposed her white combat boots.

"I have no caption. Just a regular day at work. @onlymurdershulu," she wrote.
