King Charles recollects memories of his late mother Queen Elizabeth on Mother's Day

On his first U.K. Mother's Day without the queen, King Charles is honouring her memory with a cute throwback photo.

Charles, 74, recently uploaded a photo of himself and the late Queen from when he was a little boy on Instagram through the Royal Family's official account. The late Queen passed away in September 2022 at the age of 96.

The article further included a picture of Queen Camilla and Rosalind Shand, who passed away in 1994.

The first image, which comes from the Royal Collection Trust, shows a youthful Queen Elizabeth holding an infant King Charles in her lap with pride. The other image has the 75-year-old Queen Consort grinning next to her mother.

The couple captioned the images with a loving tribute to their mothers and all mothers on "Mothering Sunday", which is observed in the United Kingdom this year on March 19.

"To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #MothersDay," they wrote.
