Jamie Lee Curtis wins Oscars, tributes icon Faye Dunaway

Although Jamie Lee Curtis has always been an innovator, she has chosen to honour another legend after winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

The 64-year-old star of Everything, Everywhere All At Once honoured her first Academy Award win this week by re-creating a famous image of fellow winner Faye Dunaway.

Curtis' most recent photo shoot for the Los Angeles Times shows her similarly relaxing by a pool with her trophy by her side, channelling Dunaway's legendary "morning after" Oscar shot taken in 1977. Photographer Jay L. Clendenin took the picture.

"THE MORNING AFTER," Curtis wrote in her caption, sharing the photo carousel on Instagram. "SOBER*SURPRISED* STEADY* Thanks @jlcvisuals @latimes and @bevhillshotel and @theacademy for this moment in the sun! @everythingeverywheremovie."

Curtis received the prize for her portrayal of IRS inspector Deirdre Beaubeirdre in the Best Picture-winning movie, whilst Dunaway, then 82, won it for her role in Network.

"[It was taken] the next day, when they realize suddenly they're getting all these offers to do films, their value goes from $100,000 to $10 million, and they're just sort of stunned," he said. "I wanted to capture that, so I told her my idea, and she was sport enough to do it early in the morning at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She got up at 6 a.m., and we got that great picture. It's become one of the most Hollywood pictures of all time."
