Prince Harry and Meghan faced a decline in their popularity

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were slammed after announcing that they will be using royal titles for their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

US TV host Megyn Kelly spoke to Sky News Australia and threw shade at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stating they need the royal titles to "pay the bills."

"That's all they have to pay the bills and make themselves interesting," Megyn said, "Their only currency is those titles."

"Their approval ratings are through the floor, they went down even lower in America and in the UK, over the past couple of months.

"Calling your kid prince and princess ain’t gonna help," she added.

Megyn shared the public's likeness to Prince Harry had dropped by 37 points in the UK, while the Suits star herself dropped by 31 points.

In the States, a poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton revealed that 32 percent liked the Duke and those that disliked him made up 42 percent.

As for the Duchess 27 percent of Americans liked her while 44 percent did not like her.

This did not go unnoticed as Megyn went the extra mile to accuse the Duchess of wanting to "take the tiara", but that she continues to "bash" the Royal Family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's credibility takes a hit

A former Australian member of parliament Louise Mensch  that although the couple "sell a lot of books," they had "chucked away whatever credibility they had with both hands" in the process referring to the Duke's memoir Spare.

"Now, they sell a lot of books because, let’s face it, we all like a bit of gossip, but they have chucked away whatever credibility they had with both hands," she said .

This emerged against the backdrop of South Park's skit that mocked the couple.
