By Betty Cruise March 17, 2023

Taylor Swift got a big surprise for fans.

Taylor Swift revealed on Thursday (March 16) that four brand-new songs will be released ahead of the start of her tour as a great surprise for Swifties.

“In celebration of The Eras Tour I’m releasing 4 previously unreleased songs tonight at midnight,” on her Instagram Stories, she revealed.

Re-recordings of Swift's two songs from The Hunger Games soundtrack from 2012, "Eyes Wide" and "Safe & Sound," with Joy Williams and John Paul White, as well as "If This Was a Movie (Taylor's Version)" and the previously unreleased "All of the Ladies You Loved Before," are among the four songs.

Taylor Swift's   Hunger Games re-recording brought people together

Interestingly, the pop star's re-recording of her Hunger Games collaboration with The Civil Wars is the first time Williams and White have shared a recording together since the pair's tumultuous separation in 2014.

The fact that "If This Was a Movie" was initially made available as a bonus track on the Speak Now deluxe edition may support widespread fan predictions that Swift will release Red (Taylor's Version) and Fearless (Taylor's Version) as her next two re-releases in 2021, respectively.

On Friday (March 17), the Eras Tour will kick off with back-to-back performances in Glendale, Arizona, which has been temporarily christened Swift City in honour of Swift's impending arrival.
