Elton John has nothing but praise for Dua Lipa.
Speaking to People on the red carpet of his 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, the music icon reflected on working with Lipa in 2021.
"She didn't really need that much advice," the 75-year-old musician gushed. "She's so smart, and she's so grounded, and so in touch with what's happening. She's a delight to be with."
"I don't really need to give her any advice. She's doing really, really well," he added.
Elton and Dua teamed up in 2021 to sing a rendition of the former’s 1972 classic Rocket Man, which went on to become his first British chart-topper in 16 years.
In an interview with Stephen Colbert, the Levitating crooner recounted the moment she was asked about the opportunity, claiming that she “manifested” it.
“I was hanging out by the pool before going to do some writing, and all of a sudden my phone rings, and it’s a FaceTime from Elton and his husband, David — casual.
“I feel like I manifested this, in a way. ‘Rocket Man’ is my driving song, it’s my shower song, it’s my song I sing along to myself…When I got asked to sing that part, I was like, ‘OK, it was just meant to be,'” she gushed.
