Even though numerous advocates and social justice warriors have taken to public platforms in an attempt to prove that breast feeding is a ‘natural process’, there are still numerous naysayers who, not only publically reject the idea, but go out of their way to shame mothers into feeding their children in a ‘toilet’ or otherwise.

Even the World Health Organization, weighed into the dilemma, claiming that by “Improving access to skilled counseling for breastfeeding” we “can extend the duration of breastfeeding and promote exclusive breastfeeding, with benefits for babies, families, and economies.”

Since “analysis indicates that increasing rates of exclusive breastfeeding could save the lives of 820,000 children every year, generating US $302 billion in additional income.”

Chrissy Teigen’s Instagram uploads are usually what spark this kind of outrage because she has always been rather open about breast feeding and does not shy away from posting about it on public.

One such picture, which was brought into question, was posted back in 2018 and showcased Teigen breast feeding not only Miles but also her daughter Luna’s dolls.

She captioned the moment claiming, “Luna making me feed her babydoll so I guess I have twins now.” However this innocent situation did not go down well with fans because many pointed out how posting something, which should only be done in public as a “last resort”, was border line narcissistic.

Some users began voicing out their thoughts against the post and said, “I think it’s perfectly fine for women who breast feed in public. They are doing it because they need to. When you post on social media that you are doing it, it comes across as narcissistic though.”

Teigen seemed to be rather irked by those claims, so she also shot back and replied to some of these trolls, stating, “Nah. Just chillin. Posting daily life like I do with anything else. Cooking, playing with dogs, etc. You make feeding a baby big deal because you got weird titty issues.”
