Kylie Minogue turns down King Charles' invite to perform at Coronation

Kylie Minogue has reportedly refused to perform at King Charles’ coronation concert.

The 54-year-old singer has joined the growing list of stars, including Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Robbie Williams, Adele, and the Spice Girls, who have turned down the invite of the current monarch.

Minogue was approached by the King’s team to have her own board among the list of frankly no performers for the ceremony slated for May 7.

However, the Can’t Get You Out of My Head singer has other commitments to partake in and hence will be out of the country.

“Kylie, unfortunately, won’t be able to perform at The Coronation as she will be out of the country at that time,” a rep for Minogue told the Mirror.

The pop star has previously performed for Queen Elizabeth’s 92nd birthday celebration at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018.

It seemed as if she were close to the late monarch as the singer took to Instagram following her death to express her condolences.

"The occasions I had the honour of being in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II, her energy, compassion and aura had a most singular brilliance. I was, and am, in awe,” she wrote.

"My deepest condolences to family and friends. Rest in Peace."
