Dwayne Johnson shows off his daring cooking skills: 'treat yourself'

Sundays are Dwayne Johnson's favourite day for cheat meals, especially when there is additional syrup.

The wrestler-turned-actor's catchphrase is "Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself," and his most recent Instagram video is further evidence that he lives by it.

He posted a video of coconut-banana pancakes, one of his go-to cheat meals, on Monday. Johnson spreads peanut butter on a sizable stack of flapjacks that have been covered in syrup at the start of the video.

"Here we go, on this cheat-meal Sunday," he said. "I am preparing this big stack. Big, thick and juicy … which is my nickname on the weekends when I drink," he said, laughing. "I digress!"

The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star resumed, "Big and thick and juicy coconut-banana pancakes. Look at these things. They are ready to be destroyed," he said as he added a little more syrup.

Johnson accompanied his lunch with his newest food-related business venture to wash it all down. He combined the strawberry watermelon and tropical punch flavours of ZOA energy drinks.

"This combo is insane. Plus I'm like a little kid with my flavors," he confessed.

Johnson took a large bite of the pancakes after focusing his attention back on them.

After dipping it in more syrup, he said, "You know the rule, my friends: Enjoy your cheat-meal Sundays; you have earned them. ... Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself."

"No chance of survival, none of this," he continued, gesturing toward his breakfast. "No chance of survival. Enjoy your cheat meals."

"Took these coconut banana pancakes & @zoaenergy to pound town on a beautiful Sunday morning!" Johnson wrote alongside the video.
