John Legend is appreciating Chrissy Teigen, his wife.

In an interview with People magazine on Thursday at the Jake Arnold for Crate & Barrel Launch Party in Los Angeles, Legend expressed his respect for Teigen, 37, and her speedy recovery following the caesarean delivery of their infant daughter Esti on January 13.

"There's still a lot of recovery, but she's doing great with it," says Legend, 44. "She's so smart and strong and women go through a lot to bring life into the world and I'm always in awe of her for that."

"[It's] very exciting," added Legend. "I was just saying my kids are doing so well. My older kids are doing so well with her and (it) just fills the house up with more love."

"I just think we're more comfortable with ourselves and our parenting style and I think we're just more comfortable being parents now," he noted about being a dad of three. "So dare I say, it's easier."

John Legend talks about the Challenges the couple faced during the birth of third baby:

John Legend claims that it wasn't an easy journey to have a baby girl with his wife Chrissy Teigen.

The All of Me singer, 43, opened up on The Jennifer Hudson Show about the difficulties he and Teigen encountered when trying to conceive their daughter Esti Maxine and why they believe it is beneficial for people to be open about their issues.

"We've been open about it because we've had challenges," Legend told host Jennifer Hudson. "We had to use [in vitro fertilization] to conceive our children. We've had a pregnancy loss, and I think a lot of families grow through that, but I think a lot of people were happy that we talked about it because they didn't feel so alone."

"A lot of people go through this, and they go through it in silence or they go through it feeling like they're the only ones going through it," Legend continued. "And I think Chrissy and I talking about it has made people feel better about that journey."
