Keanu Reeves ups the ante for John Wick: Chapter 4

Keanu Reeves is taking it to the next level when it comes to performing stunts for his upcoming movie John Wick: Chapter 4

The actor, who is known for performing most of his own stunts, has been training for a whopping three months just for the action-packed stunts alone.

The actor sat down for an interview with Variety and laid bare all the work he has been putting in to up the ante in the action franchise.

"It’s been about 12 weeks of training. It’s new levels of action," he said.

"You know, nun-chucks, which was challenging…’ John Wick’ action asks just a little bit more. And you see the effort and the commitment from the team."

According to the actor, the most difficult stunt to execute was when his character raced around the Arc de Triomphe in France in a 180 reverse and drift all while reloading his gun and shooting it.

Reeves said, "For Chapter 4, we wanted to bring the muscle cars back."

"Have we gone too far?" Reeves asked about the mind bending stunts in the film.

"We took the car-driving to the next level, which I really enjoy," Reeves said in a past interview with Total Film magazine about the car stunts.

"There’s 180s, forward-into-reverse 180s, reverse into-forward 270s, drifting… So it was really fun to get a chance to learn those skills, and to play."

Reeves added, ""John Wick: Chapter 4' has the most action of any of the John Wick films, which is saying a lot. And it’s more by a good margin. It’s a big show… 'John Wick: Chapter 4' was the hardest physical role I’ve ever had in my career so far. They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox."
